I took Carlos in cause he looked pretty bad, I thought I let his teeth go too long, cause this weekend he just went downhill so much. Dehydrated, not eating, etc.

Took him in today and they did bloodwork, urine, and he is in major kidney failure. He's not that old, going to be 13 in September. So it's not his teeth. He's been declining for a while, but did ok.

This weekend Dave's dad went into hospital, he is 87. He's home now but we're not out of the woods yet. But he is doing much much better. But we were there from Thursday to Sunday in Chicago.
We had to get him there and home, and take Dave's mom to visit. She's 85 and can't get around well.

Lot going on. I hate the thought of losing Carlos. I was afraid I cause his problem from not taking him in for his teeth, but the vet said kidney failure has nothing to do with it. Glad I wasn't the cause, but very sad that there's no cure. He said to put him to sleep, but I couldn't. I got him fluids and he's home. But I know we'll be taking him back soon.
