sister's fiance came over with a camera/probe thingy and couldn't see any eyes in there. He also didn't smell any skunk odor, which he says would have rubbed off on the wood. So that's good! I filled in the hole with a rock and dirt and put a cement block on top. Hopefully whatever is was will move on. Of course, the kitties still won't tell me what it was!!
