Patty askedmeto post for her. She also posted this on Black Cat Cafe.

"It doesn’t look like anyone is on this board anymore. I tried to log on to AHOC but can’t remember my password or user name.
I know some of you on here are not on facebook and I wanted to let you all know that we had to let Princess go yesterday. Her cancer had returned but we managed to keep her healthy for an additional year and a half. Just this Feb she started to go down hill. She was eating very little, getting very very thin and weak. We decided to let her go before she suffered any more. She was with us here in Florida and spent her last day enjoying laying in the sun. When she was like that she seemed ok and it made the decision that much harder. But when she stood up, you could tell she was weak and not feeling well. It was such a hard decision to make and our hearts are breaking. I hope she is in Heaven and getting cuddles from Deb. If someone on here can copy and paste this on to AHOC I would appreciate it. I will continue to search for my password. Blessings to you all. Patty"

and am so sorry to hear about Deb's beloved Princess. Deb was so nice to me when I went through my knee injury and she was dealing with much more serious health issues!

While it is true Princess was my last link to Deb, I am blessed to be close to her daughter Lizzie and her granddaughters, Emma and Layla. I am kind of a “substitute” Mom, and grandma to the girls. Lizzie and I email all the time (she’s in Ohio and I am in Florida for the winter). I also email with the girls and hear all about school and sports. They are both such good girls. Emma is almost 14 and will be starting high school. She got all A’s at school and is taking college prep classes next year. She wants to be a teacher. Layla is 12 and is “gifted” and is in advanced classes. Debbie was brilliant and seems this intelligence has passed down to Liz, Emma and Layla. I am so proud of them and how well they are doing. So they are pieces of Deb that bring me comfort. Lizzie is so much like Debbie...unselfish, big heart, loving. I’m so happy to have the real Liz back after all the years of her troubles. She beat the demon and is happy and healthy.

I can't believe the girls are that age! Where does the time go? I'm so happy to hear they are all doing well. Liz had such a tough time for awhile. So nice that she is happy now. It's good to hear from you, even though the circumstances are sad. I just put down another of my senior citizens two weeks ago. The second this year and it is indeed hard, but necessary. Please continue to post with us!!
