Hi. I would like to ask for some advice. I have ten inside cats, all spayed and neutered. Two male cats have started spraying on the walls, it’s disgusting. Why are they doing this, are they stressed? I have a big house and a screened in deck, they have plenty of room. Should I take them to the vet?

Good advice below.
How many litter boxes do you have? Spraying is usually a territorial issue, but have there been any recent changes, any potential sources of stress? Always good to get a vet check up to rule out any medical concerns
Hi. I have eleven litter boxes and I keep them clean. Thanks everyone for the ideas!
Welcome!

This is a pretty common problem, especially in multiple cat households. It is usually a territorial issue - which is why male cats are more prone to do it than female cats. The person that finds a good solution will become a millionaire - at the very least! For now, though, there are some options that may help you.
If there are any strange cats coming to your house, you can try a deterrent to chase them away. This is one of the most common causes. Even if you don't see them and your cats are spraying near doors or windows, you can be sure you have visitors.
Clean sprayed areas with an enzyme cleaner. I've had some success in the past with calming collars. Be cautious of prescription meds. I had one cat that had seizures possibly caused by them.
Good luck! Also, if you haven't seen "My Cat From Hell", I would recommend watching some episodes of that. He has some good tips that may help your situation.
For me, though, it has just been attrition - getting my cat numbers down after the spayers have passed on. The spraying also decreased as they got older.

I would also guess the same, check out for prowlers and also a vet visit. Good luckCats are like Potato Chips - you can't have just one
I agree with Bengalgirl...if the sprayers have not seen a vet in a year, take them in, ...msg

Yes, a vet visit is in order to rule out any urinary tract issues. I use calming collars, it seems to help but once one starts peeing, it sure is hard to stop. There are products to clean the areas and products to make the area less acceptabl in spray form at the pet store and Amazon. Maybe others have advice.
