Surgery went ok, they had to put in one more pin and something else (not sure I understood). By now she’s out of anesthesia,, I will pick her up tomorrow. I hope she’ll be comfortable. They are giving me pain med for her. Now I have to be sure she goes ump or move fast and she doesn’t lick her stitches. She’ll have the collar. Stitches out in 10-14days, so must be very careful til then, new xrays in a month to check healing progress.

I pick her up tomorrow at 10 am. I hope time goes fast tonight. My poor little baby. She doesn’t understand any of this. You’ll be home soon Peatrie!

so glad to get her home. Did you find a pen/crate to borrow from someone?? I hope she will recover very quickly and leave her stitches alone. This has been such an ordeal for you - I know how much you hate hospitals and associated stuff. Sending many prayers for you all (((hugs)))

But I think the closet will be best for her. No tight turning, that’s hard on your legs and hips.

I called and asked how she was just now. They said she’s up and moving (though how much? Their cages are 2x3 and she has a litter box it it. They said closet is fine as long as no jumping. There’s nothing to jump on in there. They are more concerned about that than walking. I pulled everything off the floor in there for the most part so she doesn’t walk on anything kinda hard to walk on. It’s all ready for her now with litter box, food and water. Got battery operated night lights for night so she can see. She got plenty of room in there. It’s 12 feet x 8 feet. That’s much better than a cage. She has that collar on too so would be hard to maneuver in cage. Thank goodness we have this option cause even a bathroom would not work cause she could jump on toilet or sink. So life accommodated.

I missed all this because I wasn't on the computer all weekend. How scary! I'm glad she is out of surgery. I've always wondered about cats when I see those balconies. I hope you can find a solution so it doesn't happen ever again.

But no one ever got hurt. But these guys are soooo active though, seems more than others in past. They scare me.

We’re working on trying to solve the ledge issue we have at least. Can’t help the bannisters above though cause there’s no way. Years ago I was worried about them falling “through” the bannisters when we first built. We bought webbing to cover all the openings between. But then we saw the walking ON TOP of the railings. “Sigh”. So it was like trying to patch a break in a dam with a bandaid. Took the webbing down. These walk ON TOP too, mostly Peatrie. I hope she doesn’t do that again!

I am happy she will be home with the proper meds. Most importantly, her human's love and care. It will be hard keeping her to stay calm!!! Have to keep a close eye and be in a restricted area. More healing thoughts, prayers and gentle hugs to all involved!!! Best to you and Peatrie !!
Sounds painful! I know she is in excellent hands with her meowmie and dad!!!! Also her siblings who must be missing her.....
