It seems very hard to keep the remains of this group going. We actually had a nice rain here on Sun/Mon and winter is on it's way - it has been quite cold the last two days. I have been very remis, Mr D has not been for his run for two days, yesterday it was raining and this morning I had run out of electricity so i had to go out and buy some before we could have breakfast (we have a pay meter). Yesterday we played a game in the garden where I had hidden small things and every time he found one and brought it back to me, he got a treat - he loves that game, today we will most likely play at throwing ropes for him to fetch.

Mr D is gorgeous! He must be really loved and well trained by you! I have spending a lot more time with the dogs in my neighborhood. The owners will come by if they see any of us outside. The dogs come right up to me asking for attention, I gladly give it to them! Take good care of yourself as well as Mr D!

Last week or so has been rainy/windy....am still doing work with the SPCA, we are finally starting to see kitten season start....tomorrow I socialize and hope to play with some kittens, I also visit over in the medical section, where they have underage kittens, and socialize them and help them learn to eat...so precious! Mira and Ziba are fine, they take care of me at home... cheers to all..

Help out at the spca. I’d have a hard time doing that. I’d want them all. Can’t do that anymore. Actually shouldn’t have taken in these kittens, I may be 83 before they go if they live til 20. But I couldn’t give them up.

I’m glad Mira and Ziba are doing good.

I miss the days when I was ablt to foster families of kittens. Zoe was from the last litter I fostered. I do so miss having a cat.

Sorry you’re unable to get out and play. Same here, rain every day. Grass is growing, been over a week since it was cut. It rained again last night, but hopefully I can get out and do “some” today.

You’re right, very hard to keep board moving it seems. Few people, and I don’t want to be a board hog and just post about me every day. As they say, it takes a village. So guess it is what it is. I’ll check in though from time to time, hopefully daily see what’s going on.

While I’m posting now, update on Peatrie is she’s doing really good! I tried letting her in different room but can’t, she’s tooo rambunctious! Jumps up and down on window sills etc. over and over. I must have her acclimate her leg slowly. So I am letting her out in our room a couple times/few times a day under supervision. She’s still tooo crazy, but if I see she’s doing too much I put her away in closet. I’ll increase time daily over next couple weeks. Then see how it goes letting her into full house. May have to monitor that too. We’ll see.

So little by little. If I showed you a video which I don’t know how to load, you’d be amazed! She’s wilder than before! She never was THAT goofy! Maybe I just didn’t pay attention. But it’s like she grew legs for the first time!

Here’s a pic of her yesterday in our bedroom window with her sister Sara Bella. She plays with them waaay too rough too! I was worried it would be other way around.

Hope the rain goes away and you and Mr D can get out more!

Awww...the two sisters are gorgeous!! I am so glad to see that Petrie is doing so well in her recovery! I can appreciate your concern that she not overdo it. Just think, all these weeks of pent up kitten energy has to come out and be used up. I hope she does well from here on out and do believe she will moderate hersel once the excitement of being out is over! You are such a good kitty Human to these kittens. I love hearing about them and love the pics. Purrs n mews from the kitties here, hugs from the Humoon!

I hope she calms down. She thinks she’s normal I guess, which is s good thing. I’m going to be a nervous wreck for awhile once she’s out in the full house. I’ll increase her time out in our room more and more hopefully. They said two weeks there, but it may take longer.

Then I’ll call the doctor first and tell them my concerns and see if it’s still ok to let her go.

Hope you’re doing ok. I know you made it through another therapy. I lost count, how many more of those to go before surgery and radiation.?

I enjoy your posts regarding your care for Petrie yet sorry any of this has happened to her and you!
Well weeks later, it is still 4 down and 12 to go! I do not right now want to post as I am very angry with the facility and treatment team. It has taken three months to complete 4 treatments, and have destroyed my blood and working on the same with the new blood! It is one delay after another. I am researching alternatives and second opinions not near my location. I have a follow up with the surgeon Tuesday but do not expect to get anywhere as they are all part of the same “board of physicians” that have reviewed your case, at this regional medical center.

Yes, I do believe this. This facility is a regional medical center for this entire part of the state. I have always heard if attempting to get a second opinion, one has to leave their area...Thank you for understanding.

I am sorry for all that you are going through, and for the hassles and delays they are putting you through. I assume this is cancer? If this is the case, don't they realize that urgency is of high importance? How horrible, I’d be mad too. I’m not big on doctors. I don’t know how much they know really. I have nothing like you are dealing with, I’ve been to many in the last couple years with no real solution. Unfortunately it’s the only option people have when there’s a problem.

Do you have 12 more chemo treatments or including radiation too? I know surgery is in there somewhere too. Sooo much!
Is there a Cancer Treatment Center of America near you? I hear good things about them. You need to get the help
You need to get the help you need so you can live again.
I hope you can get them to understand this and help
you to the point needed. I’ll keep you in my prayers.

Val2 My medical bills are partly paid by the state and also by Medicare. So, to leave the state, I have to convince the powers that be, that I cannot obtain the needed services within the state. I may call Cancer Centers of America for info also going to spend the weekend online researching. I do not care to spend my time at anything medical! I also believe, that when there is an illness and treatment proposed the person should be given two options with info on each. You got my point exactly! I have a liE and want to live it. Without having a leash to some freaking medical facility for close to a year! I am just frustrated beyond belief, along with trapped. You know how a cat responds when it is trapped? That is how I feel! Others just think this is fine, just go along with it. My family Doctor is not being nice due to my not being bushy tailed and purring. I ha,opened to read what his notes were on my last visit and I have gone to him for 15 years, so cold and callous! Pet those gorgeous kittens of yours for me, please. Their pictures are nice! How is everybody there?

That’s horrible if he’s not being nice to you! He should be extra nice!
Thankfully my general doctor is very understanding. He’s always generous with his time too. He even gave me an ok to try an option I found online. Said it won’t hurt me, and if I think it helps we can try it. I do appreciate his demeanor. Still doubt anyone has answers, none if the specialists either. But I won’t go to anyone unless they have a good bedside manner. Maybe you should look for a kinder doctor. I think it’s just as important or even more important for a good bedside manner.

See if you can find info on cancer treatment centers. They treat the Whole person, not just the sickness. That is their claim. I hope you get some resolution and quick movement in your therapy. I can imagine the frustration.

All kitties are fine for the most part. You read about the few that need to go into vet. My biggest concern is Mischka, not sure they can solve that large growth. And there’s a bunch of little growths all over her face and head. No way to fix them all. At least they are smaller. This one was too until about 6 months ago. Then it spiraled. She still feels ok though.

And the one on hind legs as if going to go right outside to get the squirrel! Petrie looks a lot like my LilBit! A tuxedo with the four white paws!! Buddy my big grey male just came over!! They are such precious animals, knowing when something is not right. Enjoy yours all you can. I hope the vet can help the two who need him! Sometimes I like the vet I use for my kitties more than the drs who see the humans.

after all she is really still a kitten and mine have always been wild - up and down curtains, up and over couches. But I know you will take it slow and watch her carefully. You have a lifetime ahead with her and her siblings. How are all of the Oldies doing??

Trips to the vet. Got appointments for two in next couple weeks.

Whitey and Mischka. Both are about 14-15. Whitey lost s lot of weight. Happened years ago too. It got better with antibiotic and metronidazole. I hope we can solve it again. He gets a lot of loose stool.

Mischka has bigger issues. She feels ok but has lots of growths all over her face and head. One got very large under her chin. I don’t know if they can remove it, it grew quite big over last 6 months. She feels ok, but it can’t be comfortable for her. I hope we can solve it. Say some prayers for her.

Then I need to take Carlos in for dental. He has a tooth that must bother him. And his brother Grampie, has on/off eye ulcers. I had him in 2x but they keep coming back. He’s on antibiotic drops now, but I need to get him in again too. They are siblings from same litter, both are 12, will be 13 in September.

Seems like between cats and me I live at the vet or doctors. Now aren’t you glad you asked??😯😛
