What is your plan for the 4th of July?...msg

We are staying home, as usual. We are fortunate to be in the San Francisco Bay Area, which has avoided the heat wave that is hitting the West Coast. What are your plans for the 4th?

It is something Ken and I do every year. I have been watching the Tour de France since the days of Greg LeMond.

this year has been a horror for crashes so far. I also watch La Vuelta and the Giro - as well as as many of the Classics as get shown in SA.

I can't ride him right now as he is under medication for a parasitic disease that affects him neurologically, so I go out to the barn and take him for walks. He has a followup with the vet on July 5, and I'm hoping for a good progress report.

As for the evening of the 4th - I'll hide in the house with the cats and hope there aren't too many crazies setting off neighborhood fireworks!
