The same thing can be said for any bacteria that colonizes in the lungs. Be it Cepacia, PA, or even Staph. They all can get out of control and cause sepsis. I appreciate the info though, I haven't heard they think inflammation prevents Cepacia from going septic. That's funny. I think there isn't enough research period on Cepacia, probably because of the low percentage of CF's that have the bacteria. In my opinion the severity of health problems from having Cepacia could be linked to the different strains there are of Cepacia.
