Katie's blood work is all ok except for her liver function tests. And, only certain ones. Prior to her GSH, her alkaline phosphatase(ALP) was 214. Now, it has jumped to 311. Her AST is slightly high, but the ALT and GGTP are normal. She doesn't show any signs of liver disease, so we don't know what's going on. Since the ALP was high prior to us starting GSH, I don't think the increase would be GSH related. Would anyone have any info on this? Plus, would any of you push for a liver ultrasound? Also, would appreciate any advice on supplements to support liver function. Kate is 1 year old now and we have been on GSH oral and neb since she was 5 months.
The GSH worked great in helping her gut and really decreased her malabsorptive problem, she's now in the 85% for weight.
Thanks for any comments/suggestions!
