I have been getting the flu shot for over 20 years. and have not ( knock on wood) had the flu since. I did however have the flu before i started getting the shot and was sicker than ever, couldnt est for days, couldnt get out of bed, Luckily i was young and well enough( cf wise) to get thru it, but i would never take that chance now
