I have had a quick look at those websites and will look again in more detail.
If I was to go with convenience, I'd use the liposomal GSH for now, but I'd like to clarify some of the science behind it.
The brochure that came with it claims that:
"Taking GSH orally did not prove to be effective since it was deactivated by the GI tract. Liposomal technology has changed all that... place GSH in tiny nanosize spheres called liposomes... human studies show over a 90% absorption rate."
Is it true that other types of GSH (including the Curc caps) are deactivated in the GI tract? This doesn't fit with other things I have read earlier and I couldn't see any references to research on the websites to verify this.
Hope - Do you know what is the absorption rate of other forms of oral GSH?
What are the recommended doses based on? - both those of liposomal GSH and Dr Bishop's guidelines?
There does not seem to be anything in the liposomal GSH info which explains why it can only be taken once a day.
Perhaps I will try calling Dr Guilford, though its not so easy from Australia. Does he have an email address?
In the meantime, if anyone has any further info or can point me to relevant research, that would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Liisa
