Currently we do 3 gsh cur's a day and then 2 inhaled a day, along with a pretty good probiotic (I think) am and pm right now because she is still on an abx. her stools are a mess since this last exacerbation started and no matter what I try it doesn't seem to get better. We are thankful that her lungs seem to be doing better, but now...the stools. I have been following some information on yeast with cf and wondering how many of you drastically change/alter the diet?
Currently she consumes very little sugar or milk products, and I remember there being something with GSH, but I am too afraid to take that out. I am looking into taking the starch/grains out instead. I am a little concerned about doing that though due to weight issues that we seem to constantly battle. However, lately we are working so hard to get the food in only to watch it literally get flushed down the toilet we need to do something. We started the L-arginine this month hoping this would help, and in some ways it has, (her weight seems to be holding, even though she is still stooling a lot). But I am just at a loss as to what to do. I know when there is inflammation, axb's, yeast that the body gets out of balance. If any of you have any ideas please let me know. We are just praying that she turns around quickly I hate seeing her in pain with her stomach and stools being such a mess, and I know when her G.I. is a mess so is her immunity.
Here are the suppliments that she is currently on:
gsh cur-caps
gsh inhaled
cal/mag/zinc
fish oil
probiotic
l-arginine
I feel like I am shoving pills at her all day, but if there is something that anyone can think of that might make a difference please let me know. Thank you, Sorry for the long post. Just trying to do the best for my daughter. -Tiffany
