Hi! Just wanna get some opinions on different inhaled therapies. Katie does the bufferred GSH in NSS 3x daily. She has chronic asymptomatic nonmucoid PA, light growth. We do the inhaled TOBI every other 28 days. We have been on TOBI for over a year. Our doc seems to think the TOBI is good for now since she is asymptomatic. Does anyone think the Aztreonam works better than the TOBI? I would like to get rid of the PA! Also, does Pulmozyme work any better than GSH? We don't have a problem with mucus right now, and I know the GSH thins her secretions. Last question, does anyone think that GSH works better using hypertonic saline as opposed to NSS? Or does that just heavily dependent on the person's pulm status? Just wondering if we should be using hypertonic instead. Our CF clinic doesn't agree with GSH use, so I can't really get an objective comparison bt GSH therapy and the others. Any comments appreciated. Thanks! |
