Hi, this is the first time I am posting here. My 17 year old son is double deltaf508. He has recently been diagnosed with Liver disease, which is really, really scary! His liver blood work is normal, but on ultra sound he has cirrhosis and possible portal hypertension. He has tried inhaled glutathione in the past with mixed results, i.e. An initial improvement then back to where he was and getting sick,etc. about 1.5 years ago he started inhaled acetylcysteine/mucomyst which seems to really help him in that his need for antibiotics has decreased and he just loves how the stuff makes him feel. was just wondering if anyone has any advice on what we might try along the lines of supplements, or if you can suggest a doctor that may be able to assist us along those lines. One reason I thought about glutathione is that his Gastro doc told me that acetylcysteine is used to protect the live in cases of acetaminophen overdose. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Mary
