My 8-year-old daughter, Ashleigh, started oral GSH in Dec. '05. After about 3 months, we started to notice her appetite increase, her stools began to change to normal, and her weight/height began to increase. We continued for almost a year. She started to have signs of malabsorption so we decided to do a little test and stop the GSH. Bad idea! Her stomach aches came back and stools were changing to not so good. So, after a month break, we went back on. It took about 6 weeks, and then she was back on track. She had her 3 month CF checkup last week along with yearly labs. Here are the results:
FEV1: 92%
O2 Sat: 100%
Labs: All normal or above normal
Culture: Normal
Malabsorption: Above the normal range
Vitamin levels: perfect
Liver function: normal
I believe GSH is working, along with NAC and curcumin. We have no reason to believe any other way. We also use hypertonic saline which seems to be making a great difference in the mucus in her lungs. I hope this will inspire others to try both of these methods. Both are harmless and so BENEFICIAL.
