Thoughts on this 35th Anniversary

What a day it has been! An unbelievable airboat journey to the site of the crash...but not alone! Over 60 airboats..some who traveled from Michigan and Ohio were part of this Memorial arranged by the South Florida Airboaters Assoc. We were led by Bud Marquis...the heroic airboater who was first on the scene and who pulled many survivors out. There was a beautiful service at the site with a fly-over by the Light Aircraft Assoc who dropped red rose petals on the site. Along with me were my fellow crew members Mercy Ruiz and Patty (Georgia)McQuigg and many survivors including Ron Infantino. It was such a moving moment to be right there actually on the site! Tears came as we had a moment of silence as I remembered Stephanie and Pat, my fellow flight attendants who did not make it and also the front end crew, Capt Loft, Al and Don who were also lost. There will be much posted in the coming days I'm sure by many who were a part of this special memorial. And yes...Ron Infantino is going to head up the committee to establish a memorial! To all of you who lost loved ones, my heart and prayers go out to you this night. They will never be forgotten! To my fellow crew and passenger survivors....you are close in my heart tonight. May God bless each of you and your families and give you a happy and healthy New year! To Peter....THANK YOU for making this site possible!!!! Beverly Raposa EAL 401 Stewardess
