Re: Good observation.
I'm listened to most of the bands on GS' site, but somehow was never inspired to check out Midnight Oil. But I'm always interested in finding new bands from bygone eras, since I tend to vastly prefer them to more recent bands, yet I feel like I've gone through most of them now. That is which why I make it a point to always follow up on suggestions that I see in comments here or on some other blogs / sites I follow. So I did check GS' Midnight Oil site afterwards and I was planning to play some of their albums some time this month. So thanks for your suggestion. :) On a related note, some bands I've only discovered last year are Carol of Harvest, Affinity, England, Mellow Candle, Fuchsia, Trees. They're all some sort of progressive rock and despite my obsession with Genesis, King Crimson etc. I had never heard of them. And of course none of them live up to that standard, but they still each have a handful of really good songs that deserve to be part of any prog rock retrospective.
