Music these days seems to be predominantly about rhythm to dance to or soundscaping for atmospheric purposes which is fine when this is combined with melodies but when it replaces melodies then it doesn’t impress me

Yeah this is Eurocentric bias but this because I can’t ignore that the culture I grew up in just other people grew up in culture different to myself will have different taste. I guess this just means that other cultural perspective in music is incompatible with my values in music. That’s fine music isn’t meant to be for everyone
