It's part of the reason I consider McCartney II to be close to pointless album where the best song on the album can be found a better performance somewhere else.
Funny enough, Back in the US was the first McCartney solo release I've heard.
I was a Beatles fan and I was also fan of listening to bootlegs of my favourite bands at the time (Radiohead, Blur etc). I felt that that a McCartney solo live album was the best approximation of late career Beatles played live.
