The Beatles have so many obscure songs that have great melodies. For instance, I only recently started listening to With the Beatles and obscure songs like Not a Second Time and All I've Gotta Do just have such high standards of melody writing. As a joke, you should compare With the Beatles with literally any acclaimed indie rock masterpiece of the last ten years and see how it's superior (presumably, I haven't listened to that much contemporary music).
