Great episode as always! I laughed out loud at "the most apocalyptic of all time signatures" line. I Used to have a digital copy of Inner Mounting Flame but I think I lost it in a hard drive crash years ago. I still have Birds of Fire, which I listened to after finishing the podcast.
Wow, yeah it's obvious after listening to them again that Mahavishnu Orchestra was a HUUUUGE influence on Robert Fripp, and on Bill Bruford too. Glad I listened and dusted off Birds of Fire again. I'll track down Inner Mounting FLame asap.
