Good starting points although his later period albums are extremely different. Either Push the Sky Away or Skeleton Tree are good representations. And Abbatoir Blues is a bit of an entity by itself. I had to get used to it, but I definitely rank it as high as George does now.

I saw Nick live a few years ago as part of the Skeleton Tree tour and also definitely can recommend seeing him live. Good energy, long shows.
