"Transmissions" is still firmly in the running but "Chocolate & Cheese" is definitely in stiff competition with it, and also there are albums by Pavement or maybe "The Magic City" that I haven't given enough thought to firmly rate them but that I enjoy the crap out of it when I listen to them.

Anyway my point is don't try to nail me down on this because I'm less sure now than I used to be.
