I count you as a dear friend.
The world is smaller than what we believe.
It's just attitudes that separate us.
Lately I been think about writing a poem.
Here a rough draft;
NAMES ON THE VIETNAM MEMORIAL
I wonder what stories
They might tell?
Of their fears
And their dreams.
Will they ask
'Did we die in vain?'
Did you feel any pain?
What about our nation?
Did they learn anything?
Did our deaths teach them.
That war is not just a word.
But will mean other names.
On other ' memorial walls'.
Many were wounded in more ways than just physical wounds.
Thanks for being here mi hermano Alpha Bravo.

It must be forged, tested and used.
It must be passed down.
And woven into the very fabric of our souls.
Until it becomes our nature."
