: Here's hoping that it will be a year of good
: health.
: We are not getting any younger, time waits
: for no one.
: It seems like it was only yesterday.
: In 1966, I was on the Rifle Range on Camp
: Pendelton, California.
: Teaching Marine recruits, the principles of
: marksmanship.
: On or around the last of August of 1966.
: I got orders for a second tour in Vietnam.
: This time, I knew what awaited.
: I did a lot of physical training.
: Because I knew, one would lose a lot of
: weight.
: Due to the ungodly heat in Vietnam.
: On my last day of leave, one of my younger
: sisters.
: Started to cry, little did she know.
: I was crying inside.
: Well, I survived, and times I wonder why.
: Maybe, so I could be here for all these new
: veterans.
: To tell them, what we went through and what
: not to do.
