I'm glad that he's not leaving it on the bed. Krypto will drop his ball for me on my lap/chair, but at least it's not been outside. Now, if there's dog drool on it, that's another story...! They are kind of a rubbery material at least, so easily rinsed off. Sheesh!
That's how I feel about Krypto and fences. I would not trust him outside alone. I wish my dog run was completed, but even when it is, I know that he could dig out, or perhaps even jump it...though tall. So, it will be great to someday have it, but he will need supervision.
Home-home...that works!
That's why I got the colorful balls originally, starting with Tilde. I couldn't find them otherwise, but as you say, then there are leaves, tall grasses, bushes and such. We can lose a ball for a couple of days, too, but in the house. It can be under the dresser, chair, etc.
Nowadays he will try to get it when he wants it, even if it's under something, but until he was about a year old, it was hide 'n seek for the humans.
You can't have too many, and as you say, it's nearly Charlie's birthday!
