The game word for today was Roast Turkey. When I think of roast turkey, my mind goes first to turkey sandwiches.
While I'm pretty sure that your dog won't be getting a turkey sandwich, what will he or she be doing for Thanksgiving? Will they be around other people, or have a quiet holiday?
And, as it's getting colder out, whether they sleep with you, or not, does your dog want more bedding?
Do they stay on top of covers/bedding, or burrow underneath?
What do they think of being outside at the coldest times?
I don't have anything against dogs having a little white meat turkey, but...I've kept Krypto's non-dogfood to a minimum...raw veggies, plain yogurt, dried bread 'croutons' as training treats. Oh, and homebaked dog treats, but so far only a couple of times.
He doesn't get truly cold easily with that nice coat of his, so he's pretty comfortable in bed. He's gotten under blankets before, but he's fine not doing it, too. When it's really cold, he curls into a tight ball.
He likewise doesn't get overly cold when he's out for a constitutional, unless it's really cold out. Then, he chooses to sniff around less, and come right back in after doing his business.
I'm pretty sure that he's forgotten the few flakes of snow that he saw last year, but they are saying that we have a chance of snow next week. If it actually happens, we'll see how he feels about it then. Personally, I'm too cold, and would love to see a pineapple express take over. I will give my snow to Momo!
How about your pups?
