Well, today, I got an email saying that I had a $25. discount card waiting still. I remember that there was supposedly another discount after that original sale, but never saw it, so thought that I had been a mistake. I followed today's email and entered some numbers. That gave me the $25. discount...another one!
I was about to get some cat food, and 2 on-sale dishes. But, when I got the $25. off, I also threw in a new Gnawsome ball for Krypto. I gave him the one that's wearing for his birthday, in April.
We called about 2 dogs, but so far nothing much.
One dog looked like he'd be 20-30 lbs., which would be perfect, but they think that he's going to be over 60 lbs. That's not what we are looking for.
On the other hand, no one has come in about the shy GSD. She's 2, weighs less than 60 lbs., and was found, it turns out, up at the reservation north of me. She was loose, maybe lost...or not, and went right to whomever picked her up.
I don't want a sad story to make my decision for me, but she is pulling at my heart strings. We still don't know if she would attacks cats or chickens.
Then there's the fact that Dh would be the one walking her. Can his back take walking 2, if she's not good on a leash? Ultimately, I'm letting him decide.
He likes the *idea* of giving her a home, but we aren't 20 anymore...
Meanwhile, I was reading their website, and they still can't promise spays and neuters because they are so overwhelmed.
But, I learned something. Remember the barn cat program? Well, they actually have a feral cat program, too.
They said that they don't really want anyone bringing them feral cats right now...there are too many. However, they do have an alternate feral cat program.
If you can trap the cats, one at a time, they will spay/neuter them for free, IF you agree to release them where you found them. I thought that was interesting.
So, if you could continue to pray for us to get the right dog for us, I'd appreciate it. Whether that's a 20 lb. terrier, the GSD girl, or even no dog at all, at this time. It really has to be right.
Thank you, have a great day!
