Shatzi, came from a friend who had bred her male to another dog. She was a great dog, but she had some issues when it came to protecting us. She was a little tricky, so we were very careful. The good thing is that, if she didn't like someone or something, she let us know right away. That was good as we could handle that. Maike came from Cannon River Rotts out of the Seattle area. She was a great dog and very obedient. She loved everyone and was my constant to companion. I still mourn her at times. Kaethe and Kenzi came a very good breeder in Kentucky. She breeds for temperament and has very good dogs. If we had decided on another Rott, I would have gone to the breeder in Kentucky. When we lost Kenzi, I decided that I didn't need another Rott as they do get big. We got Evie from a shelter, and I don't regret it for one minute. She is a great dog, and her breeding keeps her a busy dog. Our two Dachshunds were from local breeders, and they were both very good dogs. I love getting purebred dogs and was very picky about their backgrounds. I also love our rescue girl. So....I could go either way at this point. |
