Charlie knows the UPS drivers-2 different ones, the FedEx drivers various, the Kroger drivers - lots, and Boys truck. He also knows when A arrives and is pulling into his driveway. And he loves A's dog goes crazy when he sees A also. Plus when he sees Flinn then they both go ape. But they both go crazy when they see A or Me in our yards.
But if you remember when Charlie was attacked by the 2 dogs from across the street - Charlie goes to that corner of my yard when he hears one of their dogs bark - though the dog is gone he still looks for it by standing in the corner of our fence looking for that dog - Every time he is outside he goes for that corner. If he hears a dog there he barks until I grab his collar to send him home.
The thing is he has memorized the cars of my friends. It is sporadic who drops me off. Yet he is at the door barking before I get out of the car. Or when they stop by to pick me up. My gate is set back into the yard so there is space to pull in.
I have also set up the curtains so that he can look "down" the street and might be able to ID the cars. I can't swear to you that he can.
Charlie is very smart and knows when our neighbors are out in their yards. He runs around when he can't see them. They talk to Charlie all the time.
