Alyson yawned quietly and excused herself from the table, "I'm off to my room. After what recently happened, I just need sleep.Chow." She headed upstairs to rooms. Some were large and others small. She selected the room in the corner. A small one with a bed and a window to which she opened and enjoyed the fresh air. Turning back around, she closed the door and went to sleep.
The rest of the gang eagerly awaited Mertul's return as they looked forward to the desserts she was going to provide to them.
Several minutes later, Mertul came back with a tray of desserts. "One plate of honey nut cookies for the ranger. A chocolate fudge sundae for the boy, and last but not least a hot cup of black coffee for the swordsman. Enjoy! And here is some extra towelets in case one needs them."
"Mertul, you are a lifesaver!" The Swordsman eagerly sipped his cup of coffee, "A nice old fashioned cup of Joe!"
Neven dived into his chocolate fudge hot fudge sundae with great relish while Willow ate his honey nut cookies with less fervor yet in great appreciation.
Quake took her time after the fuzzy feeling set in from the beer. Last she was in her true form and could drink three times as much. Being almost human had its limits. Being silly under the influence was the same and she could relate to the other travelers spending their time off in this place.
Serna looked at Quake and asked, "Are you alright? You look like you're going to throw up or pass out!"
***BURRRRRRPPP!*** "Hic! I-ah. I am feeling...what's that word?" Quake asked a patron across the table from her seat."
"Fuzzy?"
"YEAH! That's it!" She giggled sheepishly to the shield maiden, "I'm gonna be just fine!" Quake took another swig of her drink and attempted to stand. Well, sort of.
She took five steps before doing a face plant on the floor.
Neven and Serna burst out laughing from Quake's impromptu collision with the floor. Irzen sadly shook his head while Willow got up from his seat, walked over to the fallen Elemental and asked, "Quake, are you alright? Can you move? Are you conscious?"
"BUWHAA! HA! HA! HA!" The group of sailors roared in unison. One of them motioned to his fellow and they helped Quake to a booth off to the side. "Meh! She's gonna have a doosy when she wakes but nothing that 'ole Mertul can't fix. Hehehe!"
"Thank you!" Willow helped the sailors move Quake to the booth.
Mertul glanced over to the drunken elemental and shook her head, "You're a good lad, Smhee. Always doing right when you come for a visit."
"Anything for you, mum! Right lads?!" Smhee and his fellows left Quake alone and returned to their table to finish their meal.
Serna stopped laughing at Quake and walked over to the Elemental, "Well, at least she is breathing. What do we do with her now?"
"Watch over her while she sleeps it off," Irzen replied without hesitation as he shook his head once more, "There's nothing sadder than seeing a lush who can't hold her liquor."
"Rest easy, adventurers. No one will bother her. There's been plenty of people who've drank too much and ended up like her." Mertul said, "besides, Smhee and his crew are regulars here and they have a code about new folk who come here. No one will bother her."
Smhee ventured over to the party's table and eyed the swordsman, "Says you. You, a drow. Who's a long way from home and this one here, fellas is drinking....coffee."
"Surely the legends of elves and their wines regardless of their origins can hold their own with fermented brew?" The sailor challenged the swordsman and ranger openly.
