"Ah. The Platinum Knight come to greet me in his final hour?" The wizard sneered.
Alyson still electrified from blasting the barrier looked skyward again with a raised hand she arced a lightning bolt down at him. She lit him up like a Christmas tree.
"YEAARRRGGGGHHHH!!" Sorvor screeched in pain from the powerful bolt.
The smell of burned and charred clothing and flesh permeated the air. "He's all yours, guys and gals. Have fun storming the tower."
"The heavy artillery has done its job," Irzen took the lead, "Now its the infantry's turn. Let's get him."
The Swordsman rushed forward with Serna close behind, Neven slipping into and out of shadows as he ran and Willow covering them. The Adventurers got inside of the tower and began to make their way up the stairs towards the mad wizard.
Sergeant Talos took lead through the main door and opened with a bang. The door caught another charmed guard by surprise sending him reeling backward but not unconscious. The other guard brought up his shield using it like a battering ram sent the sergeant back into the party. "OOFF!"
Madeous caught the sergeant and shoved him back to his feet. "Watch your feet, lad! Irzen, Neven, two to the right coming fast. Two more from the left, Willow! Serna with me."
The sound of rushing guards in armor was unmistakable as they swarmed through the hallways in an attempt to stop the party from advancing.
"Remember everyone: No killing!" Irzen shouted as he slipped under the guard of one of the soliders attacking him. The Swordsman pummeled the guard with the pommel of his sword and kicked him in the nuts, "Take them down without taking them out!"
With a grabbing motion, Neven caused the shadow of the guard attacking him to seize the guard, raise him off the ground and shake him back and forth like a ragdoll before tossing him hard against a wall.
In the blink of an eye, The Ranger nocked two arrows in his bow and effortlessly knee-capped both of his assailants sending them to the floor in a world of pain.
"Get behind me, my lord," Serna shouted to Madeous as she fully activated her shield, "As Lord Irzen once said: It's time to plow the road! YAAAAHHHH!"
The fairy cheered the shield maiden as she took the guards head on. Brave and fearless summed up Serna as Caliaphy held onto Serna's tunic for dear life.
The Shield Maiden charged headlong up the stairs and into the advancing guards. Using her shield as a battering ram, Serna plowed over some of her opponents and sent the others sprawling backward and up the stairs.
Well if someone was watching the scene unfold, Irzen and Madeous could swear they heard the sound 'Benny Hill theme,' playing throughout the halls of the barracks tower.
Sergeant Talos scanned both hallways and determined that this level was clear of any danger. "Wait up, girlie! Don't be in such a hurry! But not bad on knocking down opponents either. We still got four levels to go to get to the wizard. Stay sharp people. We still have to go through the kitchen and officers quarters as well."
Serna held up her attack after she knocked down the last guard. Irzen flanked her to the right while Neven and Willow flanked her on the left. Without taking his eyes off of the way in front of him, Irzen called out, "You know this place better than we do, Sergeant, which way do we go?"

Sorvor countered with his own magic summoning undead to rise and attack the elementalist in the yard. Twelve rose up in varying stages of decay. "Kill her!"
The fire within the elementalist burned ever brighter that the light permeated through all the windows of the barracks tower. It burned so intense that the heat alone incinerated half of them, and the stone walls turned red. One skeleton popped up behind the elementalist and struck without warning. She screamed in pain as it continued its attack.
"TURN! BEGONE! RETURN TO THE EARTH FROM WHENCE YOU CAME!" The Bronze Man declared clutching the symbol of Bahamut around his neck. The remaining undead disintegrated to dust before them. He looked up to the balcony defiant and defensively standing over the elementalist, "You should of stayed in your homeland, Sorvor. You were pardoned once! You will be JUDGED!"
"Bawhahahaha! YOU are a FOOL, Bronze Man! I swore long ago that I would have my revenge!" Sorvor sneered at the cleric of Bahamut.
Alyson still conscious and in pain, "Ugh! Will..ugh...someone shut him up! Ugh!"
Lazheros grasped his holy symbol with one hand and placed the other upon Alyson's back healing the wounds completely.
Without warning, everyone's favorite bad penny turned up! War Scribe appeared next to Sorvor with a look of evil glee upon her face and a smile a mile long. Screaming at the top of her lungs and right in Sorvor's ear, the Drow Chronicler proudly declared, "HEY, YOU GUYS! I'M BAAAAACCCKKKK!"
The Netherese wizard clasped his ears from the shrieking drowling and replied in kind as he hit her with a Ray of Enfeeblement that made her dimwitted and proceeded to toss the Chronicler over the balcony's ledge.
War Scribe was completely stupified by the spell as she began to coo like a dove and drool.
The Bronze Man helped the elementalist to her feet as War Scribe was free falling from six stories.
Alyson just face palmed herself, "Really? Again, your timing stinks War Scribe!" Raising her arms wide then bringing them together she created a Gust of Wind to catch the Chronicler from impacting into a gory mess. This was not the place for a brutal murder scene.
Alyson's Gust of Wind kept the Chronicler aloft. Inexplicably, she disappeared from view and reappeared not more than five feet directly above Sorvor. As one might expect, gravity took over as the hapless Drowling slammed into the Netherese wizard and knocked him to the ground. Crashing atop Sorvor, the drooling Drowling giggled like a seven-year-old school girl with pigtails, "You naughty, naughty baddie! Is that your wand or are you just glad to see me? Tee! Hee!"
