Forms of litugical practice shouldn't be a hard sell, if it's taken slowly, or so I seem to think. If people will "DO" it instead of "do" it, I can see how wonderful it could be.

The symbols, as you mentioned, may be tough. There's so many of them. I have forgotten most everything I ever learned about them, and frankly, wouldn't be quick on accepting them again.

I'm thinking of taking the family to a local Episcopalian church in the next couple of weeks, to see if we can find an example of vibrant liturgical worship.
