I too have Autologic & ODIS - VCDS still beats both of them hands down in some instances.
Try comparing fault descriptions on the Autologic & VCDS & see which one offers a more complete fault description before you bin it.
Also compare descriptive coding with the VCDS Long Coding helper - VCDS goes much deeper than either the Autologic or ODIS.
Then theres Data Logging, a good OBD tool built in for fuel trims etc.... the wiki, the tech support, the forum.....
There is no quicker tool out there for lifting accurate DTC's, Basic Settings, complete coding capability, saving label files etc......on VAG.
If VCDS performed flash programming & security work the Autologic would be having a serious time of it competition wise.
We still run 2 x VCDS licences alongside AL & ODIS - The ODIS tablet also has VCDS installed on the same machine so I can unplug the dealer tool & use VCDS to get where I want quicker if need be
I'm not having a pop, I'm just pointing out it has amazing capabilities & for the cost of it, one day it may pull the fat out of the fire for you.
Jon.
