I forgot to add,

its the distance between the centre of the front turnplates to the centre of the rear slip pate that's important.

I'm only basing this on what the Andrew Page equipment rep is saying as he thinks 4.0m platform isn't enough length for runout checks as needed for the 3d alignment machines.

He believes you need at least 8 inches for this.
