Chicago Bears offensive coordinator Shane Waldron has been fired after only nine games according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Waldron has come under heavy scrutiny in Chicago due to the offense's overall performance and the recent struggles of rookie quarterback Caleb Williams. The Bears (4-5) have lost three straight games, scoring a total of just 27 points over that stretch, and are averaging just 277.6 yards per game this season, the third-lowest in the NFL.
To take his place at least until the end of the season, the Bears have promoted offensive passing game coordinator Thomas Brown, who will now call the offensive plays. Whether Brown can get Williams back on track remains to be seen, but head coach Matt Eberflus obviously knows that if he doesn’t show progress with Williams this year, someone else is going to be coaching Williams and the Bears next year.

Shane Waldron was credited as the guy that turned Geno Smith from junk to juice along side Pete Carroll in Seattle.
I doubt Waldron is unemployed long..... Seattle? Tennessee? Carolina? New England?
Heck, I thought Everflus would get fired & possibly Waldron named as interim hc.
Ha! Fired the wrong guy.
