Im one of those people. On a 3 lane hwy. I drive in the center lane. The fast lane is reserved for ppl in a rush that dont give a damn. The slow lane is for truck traffic & merging.
Politics is the same way. The right lane & the left lane. Reserved for fringy morons.
The center is where most people live & drive.

Our military strong but used sparingly.
Foreign aid? Sure. But it starts at home.
Keep us healthy & educated 1st.
No body is pro abortion. Absolutely never heard 1 person say abortion is good not once- ever.
Wanna get rid of abortion? Then give prospective parents HOPE that their children wont grow up to be slaves. Or worse- an incarceration statistic.
I think most of us agree- our education system is broken. So? Lets look to the countries where its not. Instead of dumbing down the system. They instead channel children into the paths where they will have success. Not everybody is a mathmetician/ scientist, not everybody is a truck driver/welder. But the pay is ridiculously unequal. Why cant resorts pay their staff a liveable wage so we instead invite non resident aliens to take those jobs.

The answer to most of the above questions is corporate dominance defined by their quarterly statements. The - let the markets decide- unhindered greed aspect of capitalism. If left to their full access to markets- abscent any regulation. We return to the original form of communism. Its called slavery.

Post korea- pre vietnam america. This country was rather successful for everybody. Probably not in the jim crow states. Inflation, housing costs, poverty rates(outside of the south). It was pretty much a golden era of american life. Homelessness wasnt a thing*- Parents & children believed- work hard, you get ahead.

Does anybody believe such a thing anymore?

Government spending in % of gdp didnt increase between then & now. What instead happened. Revenue dropped off a cliff. The largest corporation in the 60's? They paid taxes in the usa. Now they dont. Wanna be a millionaire in the 60's? Expect to pay somewhere between 25-45% in taxes depending on your strategy. The equiviliant of a 60's millionaire in 2025? A 2025 billionaire. Mostly they will pay 0-10% in taxes.

What changed? In the name of reform. The system got gamed. Laws that leveled they playing field were either overturned or new ones that created advantages created. None bigger than the supreme court awarding corporations recognition of citizenry- personhood.

The reality is. Yes- trump is right- the bureaucrasy is a mess. His response however is a far bigger disaster. The problems the various programs are intended to resolve need updating. States dont have the ability/ money to study how to fix education. How to fix Hope/lack there of.
Fix division/anger. Its a complete cop out to call everything states rights. Its a refusal to address the dented fender thats in need of repair. Instead- The maga plan. Project 2025. Everything is the individual states problem.
Its a plan to make american corporations great. Not american people. Its a plan to create a usa with a soviet blok vision. Disposable people without rights, with only enough education to perform the manual labor required to enrich the creepy folks like elon that already embrace humanity as a dispisable commodity.

* Homelessness is a subject worthy of an entire book. The short if it. There was a very dark side to the absence of homelessness. Much of homelessness in 21st century is some form of mental illness. From ptsd to schizophrenia. Everything in between as well as outside the scope. Much addiction. All at huge costs to government intervention. Theres an outcry in 21st century that a large portion of incarceration is directly related to mental illness. As terrible as that sounds. They way mental illness was "housed" in past decades is a horror story unto itself.

2045 gonna look much different than 2025. Thats a fact. If you have children/grandchildren? And youre not steering to the center lane? God have mercy on your soul.
