This isnt a great draft. Id be happy trading back for 2025 7th rounders & 2026 picks. The Rook FA class might produce more nfl roster adds than drafted players. The top guys this year are inside linemen, rb's & safeties. Traditionally. Positions with high round overhype & 3rd day value. After Cam Ward? Good luck finding a guy worthy of even becoming a backup. Almost all the fbs top 10-12 come with the caveat- " in the right system". The lbers are mostly unimpressive and the edge rushers alot of Dallas Turner types. The O -tackles are likely all guards if they make it as a starter. Wrs & Cb's is a big river of muddied water without and clarity. Alot of Corderrelle Patterson/ Andrew Booth types. Tight end isnt much better. I said it a couple w eeks ago. The #3 prospect at nearly every position isnt- leap of the page better- than the #23 prospect. & The top 2 prospects are likely a notch below what was there the past couple drafts. All those 5th/ 6th yr covid seniors ate up the playing time/ training snaps of this years class. It was always going to happen at some point. There was a lost class at the front of covid. This is the lost class from the backside of the shutdowns. Was it a James Brown song? The lyrics after a dialog- pre rap talk around on the "down trodden ghetto criminal"...he sings- 🎶I understand, what it is. Its what it is🎶 picks up the rythmn... 🎶What it is 🎶 ....is.... What it is🎶 great song. The name of it escapes me right now. But- it remains true. 🎶 Brother- ....what it is ......is .........what it is.🎶 |
