There was a moment there. Where Bonkers Idea. Move JJ, start overtures to acquire Burrow had some speculatory legs. I think now, post SNF victory over Dallas. The idea was knee capped.
Too bad. I think stud game changer WR is far easier to acquire than stud QB. And, as we see with most teams. You can't pay both while being able to field a high level team.

From what I've heard, Flores will not get a HC gig anytime soon. Not with his lawsuit vs the league still unresolved. That means it's liklier than not he remains in Minnesota. Probably for the duration of the "5 year plan".

Next 2026 is year 3. Most likely paired with a far easier schedule. That should equate to excellent growth by the kid QB. Nailing the draft in 2026 is paramount if that plan is going to workout. Infact the next 3 drafts gotta be nailed like the hit Eric Wilson made on that cowboy 4th down play! Whomever the GM gotta just blow it up with a slobber knocker ka-boom!

My hope is, the square the cap in 26. Take their lumps with another .500ish season. Get younger with far greater playmakers on d and o-line depth via the 26&27 drafts. The vikes will need to have an excellent support cast when that window opens bc the Bears will be fully into their window.

2027 & 2028 could be some awesome Bears/Vikings showdowns... We'll see if one or both can nail the coming drafts and move into the NFC driver's seat.

I like the RB from the Wa. Huskies as a mid rounder in 2026. But I'm fond of 5-9 pass catchers with thighs akin to a tree trunk. TE is kinda empty in the 26 draft.
