Theyre called the cortina olympics.
But the events are spread out through the
Trentino( n italy) provence. The road between Milan & Cortino is where my grandfathers home town lay. My Grandmothers family are from Milan
The Valtellina region where the alpine ski events are being held. I have cousins, nieces & nephews that live there in the Village of Tres. If the olympics and all the traffic arent present, Its About a 15 minute drive to get to the ski areas.

I can only imagine how exciting this must be for my long distance relations. One of my Dads Brothers, the last of that generation/ american arm of the family. He has visited Tres often over the years. The last time I spoke to Uncle Rico. He and his 2 children were planning to go visit through the olympics.

Idk if that qualifies as good news... I just think its kinda cool. That arm of the family all still live in the TC. Uncle Ricos wife has MS. Still getting along, now in her 80's. She's not making this trip. My Uncle & Aunt were vm the world travelers until just recently. Just the last couple years. The only traveling she wants to do are the small ship upscale cruises. 100 passenger type stuff where being wheelchair bound is more easily accomodated.
