Re: Does KM signed today?

I could be wrong, but I think Kirk is going to get $10-$15 million from someone and I don't think our cap situation can support that. Especially for a backup. And Kyler and Kirk are polar opposites when it comes to the type of offense they need to have to be successful. If we design our personnel and playbook around Kyler, then Kirk will be the square peg in the round hole for our offense. And if Kyler knows he has to compete with Kirk, he won't sign. A better backup for us would be someone like Tyrod Taylor if Kyler is our starter. The wildcard on JJM is who made the final call to draft him? If it's KOC then his ego won't allow him to be released this year. If it was Kwesi, KOC might be OK with cutting bait and letting him go. And I wouldn't be surprised at all if we make a trade with the Colts for Richardson instead of getting Kyler, or get him to be the backup. Best recipe for success is focus on the run game then we don't have to put so much pressure on which QB to get. Lots of options for the purps, they just need to decide which way to go and then go all in with the rest of the personnel.
