Yep.....be JUST good enough to keep the interest and put butts in the seats this year. I do appreciate how the Vikings write their contracts. They write them with the intention of the player playing them out, so no dead cap money on the books. Before we started releasing players yesterday we had $5.6 million in dead cap money. That was almost last in the league. Now we have $19 million in dead cap money, but still there are 16 teams that have more. I think NO has over $100 million in dead cap this year and the JETS have over $90 million. The Wilfs said they wouldn't push cap money out this year, but in reality they've never done that. They don't want to convert that to a signing bonus and have to pay it out now. They don't like to add phony incentives and void years on contracts either. Pretty straight forward, which is OK but sometimes you need to get creative. Cowboys pushed out tens of millions to the future in order to get under the cap and tag Pickens. They are planning on the cap always going up. If it goes down, some of these teams are so screwed!!
