Wenatchee is a big migrant worker community!
I had a friend that lived there. She was a vijing Fan, grew up in the farming region south of the TC's. Probably around 2014? I visited her one weekend. I used to go down for the hockey games. We went to the Wenatchee walmart on saturday. Wow! Pay day weekend for the farm hands, that Walmart was packed! The shelves darn near sold out. I dont think ive ever seen anything like it before ir since! Somwhere in my packed away sports memorabilia is my Wenatchee Wild gear. In between periods theyd shoot off the t-shirt cannon. I caught a team "flag" at one of the games. And at another. One of the players had autographed a half dozen " hat trick" t-shirt bc he had a hat trick in that playoff game. Post game, They shot the cannon off at every corner of the arena. I caught one of those t-shirts.
Terri was good luck. The only mlb in game foul ball I ever caught was with her at a mariners Twins game.

We kinda drifted apart not long after that orange feller became potus. Terri fell down the MAGA/Q rabbit hole. I always send her a text b-day greeting. She hasnt responded back the last few years. Jan 6 I think was the cut off point. I dont think shes replied back since.

We used to discuss it. Ive said it before. Many of the issues Trump defines as needing repair. He often has a point. The problems arise in how he approaches the solution. Too often illegally, immoral or divisive. Many times all 3 and with the added component of self dealing corruptness.

Any idiot can define a problem. The genius of great leadership is in the solutions. Don Corleone, a fictional character, is a cult anti-hero for using such tactics while maintaining a twisted but somewhat moral standard. I dont see that Trump even maintains that low bar. Folks that cant see the mans has even a hint of morality? Excuse it? Whats that say about their character?

Do the ends justify the means? Is there no red line? I think for many that voted for the guy in 2020 & 2024. They are struggling with that exact concept.

There are lessons in this for all sides.
Hopefully, the ones learned are not, " how to be a better criminal".
