The only caution- the fcs is a very long bus ride from the NFL. That said. A baller is a baller. It transcends competition level if it's true.

Note- Levi Drake-Rodriguez remains on the roster. A div 3 prospect with far less competition. And a likely important contributor in 2026.

Demmings flew largely under the radar but received an invitation to the Senior Bowl — as the only FCS defensive back — and the NFL Scouting Combine; at the latter, his traits garnered positive attention. His vertical jump of 42 inches was second best among cornerbacks, and he impressed in the 40-yard dash with a time of 4.41 seconds.

Demmings received a 9.10 (out of 10) Relative Athletic Score, which topped this year's position group and ranked 278 out of 3,075 corners since 1987.

The Athletic's Dane Brugler called Demmings "a balanced athlete with length, change-of-direction skills and top-end speed."

"He can do a better job reading the route, instead of just playing the receiver, but he competes with supreme confidence and skillfully tracks the ball to play through the hands," Brugler wrote. "He is more comfortable in press man than zone, although some play-strength concerns show up (in coverage and run support).
