The real story on the loss. Adrian fumbles it away, gives Seahawks a short field on the drive before the fg drive. The vikings were moving it. Looking to ice it in the 6min offense. The Vikings were still leading 9-7 at the juncture.
AP- ALL Pointless. He had his moments. No doubt. But... I think more turnovers than points post season. A RB with the fumblitis in big games isn't worth much.
Anybody remember the Larry Csonka Fumble in ot?
The Earl Campbell gaffe. Franco Harris hanging his head? Dorsett? The Bus? Marshawn Lynch? Otis Anderson, Marcus Allen Or Roger Craig?
Yeah, me neither. BC it didn't happen. Adrian was like Wendell Tyler. Star rb of rams. LA lost so many big games BC Wendell would Fumble in the big moment. It became so bad. Players glued a suitcase handle to a football and gifted it to Tyler at the start of camp his final year in SF.
Joke that went around in the late 70's involved painting a football to resemble a watermelon. I hate it that such racist crap is lodged in my brain... Hard not to hear such when your big brother/ mentor is in the KKK. Eventually- it was the wedge that separated us... What I'd give to have those formative years back. With, ya know a decent person as a role model. I hid away so many friends growing up. "No, you can't come to my house, how about we hang out at yours". I hang my head in shame now as an old man. That I didn't stand up to my brother far sooner. Or said something to my dad. But he was working such long hours in my youth. Sibling issues mostly fell to my mother. I love her a ton. But she was a bit racist herself. Pops was opposite, a true love thy neighbor/stranger- a man amongst men. Walked in the shadow of JC. Not admonishing anyone. Just trying to be a Christian man by deed....
There is a book I should be writing. Instead of blowing off steam on this 20 readers anonymous platform. A theme not dissimilar from to kill a mockingbird. About family dynamics and the different individual circumstances of siblings that manifest into the men & women we become. Destinies and the choices made for us that in our youth we don't envision as being choices in the moment.
