That I didn't stand up to my brother far sooner. Or said something to my dad. But he was working such long hours in my youth. Sibling issues mostly fell to my mother. I love her a ton. But she was a bit racist herself. Pops was opposite, a true love thy neighbor/stranger- a man amongst men. Walked in the shadow of JC. Not admonishing anyone. Just trying to be a Christian man by deed....

There is a book I should be writing. Instead of blowing off steam on this 20 readers anonymous platform. A theme not dissimilar from to kill a mockingbird. About family dynamics and the different individual circumstances of siblings that manifest into the men & women we become. Destinies and the choices made for us that in our youth we don't envision as being choices in the moment.
