I think I mentioned a whole back I have a "pen-pal" that lives in Egypt. I haven't heard from him for about 6 months. He left Cairo and his slave labor job in a call center (optimum). Moved to alexandria for a better chance at a liveable life. He told me when he left. I wouldn't here from him for a long while, possibly ever. As he didn't have approval to leave his call center job and search for a small share of freedom.

El-Sayid 's parents got out of Egypt and the the US Senate candidate is by fact, Michigan born 1st Gen American of Egyptian immigrants. I have MASSIVE respect for him. The person.

He's not some poor kid, child of penniless immigrants. He was raised by engineers and is himself a Rhode scholar and lettered in multiple sports. I like the guy much.
