Barely caught it in time to keep it out of my eye. Still battling the right ear.
I've been through sum shlt. Y'all have listened to me cry like a baby for 15 years over all the cancer related bs. I'm no pussy tho. I have known extreme pain and prolonged affliction/ recovery.
Gotta say. Shingles is different. The pain of sepsis death. Mass organ failure? Max Jules electric shock of a defibrulator. Far higher acute short term pain.
Shingles is more like the 90 day hospital stay going through R-Ice + x-plant. It's an endurance test. And? It's a tossup which is worse. That 90 day hospital stay back in 2011 was not just endurance and agony. It was vomiting and isolation. Diarrhea and pushing to exercise with zero strength. But I could sleep.
Shingles? Thankfully not the acute horrible flu like symptoms of chemo. But I rarely sleep more than 30 - 120 minutes at a time. My vision is blurred. My equilibrium is as if I'm blasted drunk. The sleep deprivation has made judgement sketchy... And? There is still no end in sight I'll hit the 60 day mark October 16.
It's craziness. The best relief I get is in the hot tub. Out of the hot tub it's with capsaisan( hot peeper) cream or icy hot rubbed into the weeping blisters. To. Next time you cut yourself. Rub either in the open wound. It hurts like salt paste rubbed into your eye.
The relief comes from tricking your nerves. That pain is intense for 15 minutes or so. But as it wears off. The shingles nerve pain takes a rest for an hour or 2. As well. Anything touching one of those shingles blisters. Like a loose hair. A breeze from driving with the window down. Causes the nerves to activate. Send random pain signals .. lol. Why can't it be endorphins firing instead of burning aching or stinging.
Ufdah. Just flippen brutal endurance.
Get the VAX!
If/when I recover. I will be getting the VAX ASAP!
