Being a Cubs fan I don't really like the Brewers but definitely rooting for them this postseason. And I don't follow baseball much, but if two small market teams make the WS this year, how are the commissioner and the owners going to convince the players that the league needs a salary cap??

One other observation I made this postseason in baseball....the season is extremely long at 162 games so you need a deep pitching staff just to make the playoffs. But it seems like once you're in the playoffs, as long as you have 2 starting studs and a couple stud relievers, they can carry you in a best of 3/5/7 series. A 7 game series is a bit tougher. Guys can go on short rest if needed and perform well. And I didn't realize that the wildcard round games were all played in the one stadium. Weird that you may not get a home game in the playoffs. But I do like the best of 3 series and it's understandable that the travel doesn't make sense. I like the little nuances that some leagues have that others don't.
