Nobody I'm hearing reading is suggesting the de.s are suddenly well loved. Nobody is confusing repudiation of trump, corruption, war, scandal and inflation with sudden infatuation with far left lunacy.

How many years I been saying this. The majority of America wants the ship to sail down the middle of the river. To far left, the boat flounders a sand bar. Too far right, it crashes on the rocks.

For sure, last night was a direct hit on the maga battleship.

The path to sinking it for good is to spend minimal time on holding the crooks accountable and most of their energy undoing Trump's bad policies. Bring coats down or at least halt inflation. Bring an end to the Iran war and halt military support of Israel in favor of brokering a permanent peace. As well, tell trump to back off his Putin love or face investigation of traitorous ties to a sworn enemy. The very idea that a Putin lead Russia will ever accept The USA as it's overlord is ludicrous. As long as Putin is in power. Russia will seek to knock us down. Most Americans understand this as well as are in support of Ukraine.

Moreso tho. 2026 america is not that different from 1936 America. Times are tough, everyone is war weary while the gilded age corrupt wealth enjoys the good times(as they see it).

1st order of biz. Halt the fed tax on diesel, lower the speed on the freeways to 55. (55 still saves gas)- try and pass a windfall profits tax on all the corporations that have been running price gouge schemes hidden by inflation. It's one thing to increase prices bc overhead has risen. It's an actual crime to do so bc you can as a monopoly. It's never prosecuted, but it's criminal nonetheless.
I doubt a windfall tax gets passed or anybody get prosecuted for price gouging. But trying to do something will perhaps end this era of business greed run rampant via voluntary compliance?

Winning in 2026 is nice. But the goal has to be winning just as big in 2028. That only occurs if petty grievance is no longer the order of the day. Dems made promises. Keep them. That is the priority.
