Exactly. Precisely my worriess over the past couple of years, TUD.
People are more than happy to take the benefits of being in this country but not accept our culture and responsibilities.
I've read that in certain areas of London 40% of the population (e.g. Hackney) are 1st or 2nd generation immigrants, many of whom don't speak English at all at home and need interpreters in their contacts with schools, hospitals, GP's, local authorities etc. I really think they should at the very least have to pass a basic level of English to have residential status as it is for example in France, otherwise they'll never absorb what' expected and how we conduct our lives.
